10.15 – 11.30: Story structure and scene structure – Good writing on its own isn't enough. How to craft your stories tightly and give them cohesion and drive.

11.45 – 1.00: Characterisation and dialogue – Characterisation is the heartbeat of children's fiction. How to develop realistic characters that spring to life off the page.
1.00 – 1.45: Lunch
1.45 – 3.00: Show, not tell – It's a phrase that's often used, but what does it actually mean? And how can you apply it to your work to result in sparkling fiction?
3.00 – 3.15: break

LEE WEAVERLEY - is an award-winning children's author of over 30 published titles in more than 10 different languages.
Angel, the first title in her YA dark romance trilogy, was published as a major release by Usborne in 2010, and in the US will come out with Candlewick Press in May 2011 (US title Angel Burn).
Angel Fire and Angel Fever will follow in October 2011 and 2012. Her acclaimed novels for younger teenagers include Child X, Missing Abby and Kat Got Your Tongue. She is also the author of more than twenty series titles for children, and two picture books.
